Your financial intelligence is like the muscles on your body. You have to exercise both dilligently for success. To get the largest muscles you have to train, and results aren’t visible overnight. Making regular wise decisions regarding your credit, finances, taxes, investments, income, and stocks is just like working out and flexing your abs, triceps, biceps, quadraceps and other muscles every day when you work out. The information that you take in regarding your money is like your diet. Healthy servings of vegetables is just like listening to the right people when taking advice for your future investments.

“Wealth is a person’s ability to survive so many number of days forward… or if I stopped working today, how long could I survive?” Since most people typically define wealth by their own means, it’s important to reframe and give a new definition, something that is quantitative rather than qualitative, omitting room for troublesome interpretation, but still leaving room for flexibility based on the individual. From previous experience, I know that it has taken me over 6 months to find new employment. Realistically, I need to find assets that can exceed my current monthly income. Building assets takes time. Be patient and diligent during that process.
