Writing Your Goals

Robert Allen and Mark Hansen write in One Minute Millionaire that they advise to use one of Brian Tracy’s methods regarding goals. Every single day, write 6 goals. Each goal written coincides with one of the six major areas/resources in your life : body, brain, being, time, people, and money. They advise to write the goals in past tense, but from personal experience the power of this varies. I personally have better results writing in present tense because it makes me feel like I’m living it, not like I’m looking back on it. If I try to write about it in the future, which I’m sure would work for someone else, it makes me feel like I’ve got more pressure, trying to live up to what I’ve visualized. It’s also important to describe how the achievement of the goal makes you feel within the goal itself. For example, “I am delighted and calmed to meet a new person every day with eagerness to develop a lasting relationship.” or “I am proud to add two new sources of incoming cashflow every year”. I believe the most important part of this is doing it every day. A baby learns to walk by trying every day, and by writing the goals every day, they will be refined to perfection where they *have* to work.

Take Time And Focus to Achieve Goals

Success with financial matters what Robert Allen in One Minute Millionaire refers to as “internal assets”. To start with, these assets needed include, but are not limited to, diligence, discipline, patience, courage, but some of the most important to possess will be desire, creativity, and an eagerness for success. Any time when your external resources are limited or floundering, you will be able to call upon these internal assets and use these to pull yourself forward into happiness, prosperity, and abundance.
